Mr Stapleton is an experienced specialist in Podiatric Sports Medicine, providing advanced assessment and treatment for sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, foot and ankle pain, and complex lower-limb problems.
He graduated in Podiatry from the University of Brighton in 2005, when it was recognised as a UK centre of excellence for podiatric education. He was subsequently among the first six podiatrists nationally to obtain the Postgraduate Certificate in Podiatric Sports Medicine from Queen Mary University of London.
His advanced qualifications also include a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Podiatry, a Postgraduate Certificate with HCPC annotation in Independent Prescribing and a Postgraduate Diploma in the Theory of Podiatric Surgery from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
Mr Stapleton has been awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, followed by Fellowship of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Podiatry. These distinctions recognise his advanced clinical practice and contribution to the profession.
As an independent prescriber and extended-scope advanced-practice Podiatrist, Mr Stapleton can offer a comprehensive range of treatments. His clinical practice includes prescription-only medicines, corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections, local anaesthetic injection therapy, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, diagnostic ultrasound imaging, nail and skin surgery, biomechanical assessment and prescription foot orthoses.
Mr Stapleton holds practising privileges at KIMS Hospital in Maidstone, LycaHealth in Orpington, Phoenix Hospital at 25 Harley Street in London and Benenden Hospital in Cranbrook, Kent. He also provides specialist paediatric and self-pay adult clinics in Kings Hill, Kent.
A respected national speaker, Mr Stapleton has presented at Elevate sport conference at the ExCeL in London, the Podiatric Sports Medicine Conference, the Royal College of Podiatry Annual Conference and the Foot & Ankle Show. In 2024, he became the first podiatrist invited to lecture at the London Orthopaedic conference and was subsequently invited to return in 2025 and 2026. He has also contributed expert opinion to a range of sports publications.
From 2023 to 2025, Mr Stapleton served as Vice-Chair of the Royal College of Podiatry’s Podiatric Sports Medicine Specialist Advisory Group.
His approach combines specialist clinical expertise, advanced diagnostics and evidence-informed treatment to help patients reduce pain, recover from injury and return safely to sport, work and everyday activity.
