Specialist foot and ankle care now available at Fordcombe Hospital

I’m pleased to announce that I’m now seeing patients at Wells Health Fordcombe Hospital, near Tunbridge Wells. This new clinic makes my specialist podiatry services more accessible to people living and working across West Kent.

Fordcombe Hospital is developing a dedicated foot and ankle service, bringing together clinicians with complementary expertise. I’m delighted to be part of that work. Foot and ankle problems often benefit from more than one perspective, and a joined-up approach can help patients understand their options and find the right path forward.

How I can help

I assess and treat a wide range of foot, ankle and lower-limb problems, from sports injuries to pain that affects walking or everyday life. These include heel pain, Achilles tendon problems, ankle pain, arthritis, Morton’s neuroma and ingrown toenails.

Appointments begin with a careful assessment and a clear explanation of what may be causing your symptoms. Where appropriate, I can use diagnostic ultrasound during the consultation. Treatment may include rehabilitation advice, prescription foot orthoses, shockwave therapy, image-guided injections, medicines or nail surgery, depending on your needs and what is available at the hospital.

Whether you are trying to return to sport or simply want to walk comfortably again, my aim is to help you make an informed decision about your care.

Why Fordcombe Hospital?

Fordcombe is a modern hospital in a peaceful setting just outside Tunbridge Wells. Alongside its outpatient consultation and treatment facilities, the hospital provides on-site X-ray, MRI and CT imaging, with same-day MRI and CT appointments available in some circumstances. This can make the process of investigating persistent or complex foot and ankle problems more convenient, particularly when further imaging or input from another specialist is required.

The developing Foot and Ankle Centre aims to bring podiatry, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, diagnostic imaging and surgical expertise together within one hospital setting. This multidisciplinary approach should help patients move more smoothly from assessment and diagnosis through to the most appropriate conservative or surgical treatment, where required.

Wells Health is also part of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. This provides patients with the reassurance of receiving private care within an established NHS organisation, while income generated by Wells Health is reinvested into supporting local NHS services.
